Cross Currents

Uncharted Waters is pleased to announce our 9th Contest, 'Cross Currents'.

The rules are simple!
Write a story that focuses on one or more of the original, recurring Voyage characters
and blend in elements from another fandom (show, book, or movie),
past or present.
The crossover elements may include characters, settings, or situations.
A brief description of the crossover source must be included,
either in an author's note or within the story,
for those readers who might be unfamiliar with the crossed fandom.
This is a wonderful way to expand your horizons and really mix things around!
Voyage and... Buffy? seaQuest? Gilligan's Island? X-Files? Sesame Street?
How about Dr. Who, Star Trek, Monkees, Star Wars, Harry Potter, MIB, Avengers, West Wing,
JAG, Treasure Island, Emergency, or Dukes of Hazzard?
Consider Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, ER, Colombo, Murder She Wrote, or Johnny Quest.
Oh, and don't forget Flipper, Sea Hunt, Man from Atlantis, Popeye, or Sliders...
Get Smart, Scooby Doo, Terminator, Fantasy Island, or the Love Boat!
The setting can be on or off the sub,
take place in the past, present or future,
and can be any length, rating or tone the writer wishes.
From serious to humorous, from the logical to the outrageous... anything goes!
Multiple crossovers are permitted.
Why, just imagine the story that could arise from a Bay Watch/Knight Rider/Voyage crossover!
Okay... but you get the idea. The more creative, the better.
Stories, filks, and poetry are gladly accepted.
*All entries are subject to the regular posting rules.*
Multiple submissions allowed!
Submissions accepted from June 18 to Friday, September 20, 2002.
Posting of all entries will be on Sunday, September 22.
If there is a vote, readers may cast their ballots via voting form or email write-in, dates to be determined later.
A Prize will be awarded to the contest winner(s)
and
to one randomly selected reader who has given feedback
to any of the writers in the contest.
So, cross your eyes, go with the creative flow,
cross your fingers, and send in a story!
